Hardware:
Just like it's sibling, the OnePlus 3T is a gorgeous device. It is molded put of a single piece of space-grade aluminum which is just so great to touch. It measures only 7.4 mm in depth and the tips the scale at 158 grams. One can't fail to mention that bigger battery pack not only came at no expense in terms of volume but weight as well. The body of handset is designed with smooth, rounded shapes and some sharp well defined edges, it is both easy to handle and elegant. Instead of simple glass, like on OnePlus 3, the finish is now on sapphire. As for the home key it is not really a button. It is a fingerprint reader that also recognizes a tap gesture. On left side of OnePlus 3T there's a standard volume rocker with same metal finish as rest of unit. Above it there's a alert slider which quickly toggles between ring sets. On right of the unit there's power button done in exactly the same fashion as the volume rocker. Then there's SIM tray.  The OnePlus 3T is a Dual-SIM device so the tray actually takes two nano cards. The bottom is quite busy. Here is the USB Type-C connector, a single speaker grille, the main microphone and next to it, the 3.5mm jack.
Display:
OnePlus 3T has exactly same display as the OnePlus 3. It's a 5.5" optic AMOLED with full HD (1920x1080) resolution and 401ppi.
User interface:
The OnePlus 3T runs on oxygen 3.5.3 on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The oxygen OS community is among the most active out there and the team is always hard at work developing what are typically pretty useful features. Currently the OnePlus 3 is running oxygen 3.2.8 OTA. The aforementioned merge is said to happen by end of year as oxygen OS gets updated to Nougat. From that point on, both devices will likely get updated on schedule.
Before unlocking the device, there are a few experiences to be had. First off, the fingerprint reader is superb. It is nothing short of excellent in both speed and accuracy. While screen is still off, there is the popular double tap to wake and one can also do some drawings to open certain apps. There is also flip mute and a three finger swipe down gesture to capture a screenshot.
Performance:
The new Snapdragon 821 chipset is a little bit harder to distinguish from Snapdragon 820 at first glance. However it does constitute a notable upgrade all around. Therefore it is undeniable that the OnePlus 3T is the most powerful device by OnePlus yet.
Battery:
The 3400 mAh battery in OnePlus 3T is quite engineering feat. The OnePlus 3T managed to clock in a really impressive 83 hours of endurance rating. As for charging there is the excellent Dash technology. 30 minutes on the charger consistently gets from a dead battery up to 60%.
Multimedia, audio quality :
Easily browse photos and videos through Google photos or even the files app, gallery also acts as a built-in video player. Google photos can handle some basic video playback and between the two you can expect decent support including Xvid, DivX, H.263, H.264 AVC (MKV files) and MPEG-4. As for music playback there are two options. The default oxygen OS music app and the Google play music  app.
Audio quality is very good. A performance easily among the best on the market here.
Camera:
Powerful 16MP snapper. The camera utilizes the same Sony IMX298 sensor. The 16 MP camera has an aperture of f/2.0. The sensor measures 1/2.8". It is also OIS enabled and has a single LED flash at its disposal.
As for front camera the simple 8MP camera in OnePlus 3 has swapped for a 16MP one in OnePlus 3T. The new snapper has a f/2.0 aperture. The snapper is still fixed focus with no front facing flash.
It hardly comes as a surprise that the powerful Snapdragon 821 has plenty of horsepower to deliver 4K video recording. The video recording UI is just as simple as it's photo counterpart.
Conclusion:
OnePlus has really come a long way since 2014. Even after the price readjustment , the OnePlus 3T price to performance ratio is still hard to beat. Undoubtedly there is some strong competition in that price range.

All things considered OnePlus 3T is recommended to virtually any prospective phone buyer. In terms of value alone, it is currently among the most compelling offers out there. It can be referred as nearly a perfect package.
